2. Analysis of the password mechanism of svn plug-in and the causes of problemsWhen we use the svn plugin for the first time and enter the password, a file that saves the password will be generated, and then the svn plugin will read the username and password information by default each time. When eclipse is started, the configuration information will be automatically read into the program cache.
After the password of svn is modified, it is impossible to log in again, and there is no prompt to re-enter the password. At this time, we can delete the relevant configuration files and let the svn plugin prompt us to re-enter the password. However, eclipse will also read the cached file first. After you delete the configuration file, eclipse will also read the cached file by default. Therefore, when reading svn information, you are always prompted to enter your username and password.
3. SolutionWe can solve this problem in two steps, first delete the corresponding relevant files that save the svn login information, and then restart eclipse to clear the cache and regenerate it.
1. First, check what SVN interface we are using in eclipse? windows > preference > Team > SVN #SVN interface
2. If you are using JavaHL, find the following directory and delete the files in the auth directory.
win7:C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Subversion
win10:C:\Users\System Account Name\AppData\Roaming\Subversion
3. If you use SVNKit, find the following directory and delete the .keyring file. {eclipse_home}\configuration\org.eclipse.core.runtime
The work is done. Restart eclipse again and use the plug-in will find a prompt to re-enter the username and password. After saving, you will not be allowed to enter these.
