Samsung's One UI 8 Beta 4 Arrives Packed With Fixes

Aug 01, 2025 am 01:39 AM

Samsung has released its fourth One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series, bringing the model closer to the official launch of Android 16. After the upgrade has not been launched in the past month, the latest Samsung beta version has finally been launched, and this update mainly focuses on fixing vulnerabilities.

Last week, we reported that Samsung may launch its fourth and final One UI 8 beta this week. At present, this version has been widely pushed to Galaxy S25 series devices in the United States, Germany, South Korea, India and other regions.

Samsung’s One UI 8 Beta 4 Arrives Packed With Fixes Related##### When will your Samsung Galaxy upgrade Android 16 (One UI 8)?

Android 16 is about to be logged into your Samsung Galaxy phone soon. The following is a list of devices and schedules that support upgrades.

14, Fourth Edition (probably the final beta) The update package size of One UI 8 is about 1.3GB, and the version number is S938BXXU5ZYGB/S938BOXM5ZYGB/S938BXXU5BYGB, which varies by region. My Galaxy S25 received an update prompt early in the morning, and many users also received this morning surprise.

Currently, only Samsung's newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 are equipped with the official Android 16 system and have been launched on sale this week. The Galaxy S25 series and other models are still in the testing stage of the new system, with limited coverage. Samsung first launched the One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25 in May, so the company has plenty of time to integrate new features, fix problems, and prepare for a global launch.

What are the updates to One UI 8 Beta 4?

Samsung’s One UI 8 Beta 4 Arrives Packed With Fixes At present, this update has not brought about a large number of visual changes. The main goal is to fix existing problems and improve system stability to support larger-scale push. However, the update still includes multiple bug fixes and detailed optimizations, making the overall experience smoother. The following is the update log on my US version of the device:

  • Added Samsung IMS service emergency update function (supports high-definition voice, video calls and enhanced chat services on Galaxy devices)
  • Support full-screen switching during video playback when using DeX
  • Fixed operation errors in Galaxy AI reply suggestions
  • Improve loading issues when triggering Bixby routine commands via voice
  • Optimize the display abnormality of the quick start icon area on the lock screen interface
  • Fixed the issue where iNavi dash recorder video cannot be edited in the gallery application
  • Solve the problem of "Fingerprint sensor not responding" prompt when locking the screen
  • Fixed outdated dialing failure caused by sliding dialing from the contact list when TalkBack is enabled
  • Improve the problem of flickering horizontal/vertical instrument screen when switching front and rear cameras
  • Update multiple Samsung applications to improve overall software stability and operating performance

As a reminder, users who have Galaxy S25 series devices can sign up to participate in the test plan through the "Samsung Member" app to experience Android 16 and One UI 8 in advance. You can also manually check for updates in settings, or view them through the Samsung Membership app.

Samsung has not yet specified when the official version of Android 16 will be pushed to its mobile phones and tablet devices. But considering that we have entered the fourth round of testing and Google released Android 16 earlier this year, the official version update should be close to you. Once the Galaxy S25 begins to receive the official Android 16 update, other models such as Galaxy S24 will follow up one after another.
