Streaming has become the go-to way for many to enjoy movies and TV shows. The idea of owning digital copies in a personal library is fading for a lot of people. Now, Microsoft is ending its platform meant for digital media ownership.
Without much warning, Microsoft has ended its video rental and purchase service. As of now, users can no longer rent or buy video content from the Microsoft Store, whether they're on an Xbox console or a Windows PC. However, content that has already been purchased can still be accessed and downloaded using the Microsoft Movies & TV app on both Xbox and Windows devices. So, if you've already spent money on digital content, you won't lose it—at least not immediately. Microsoft says that downloads will still be available in HD max resolution, and it has made it clear that there will be no refunds for past purchases.
While this seems reassuring, it does mean users are now completely reliant on Microsoft continuing to support the Movies & TV app and the servers that deliver the content. If Microsoft decides to shut down these servers at some point—which is likely as they're discontinuing the service—you could lose access to movies and shows you paid for. This raises concerns about the long-term future of your digital collection. It may be safe today, but what happens years down the line? Companies usually repurpose unused servers, and this kind of thing happens often with older online stores.

Our libraries are disappearing.
22 In the U.S., there is one notable exception: if your movie purchases were linked to Movies Anywhere, you’ll still be able to access those titles through other platforms like Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV. This gives you some protection, as long as those platforms remain active. This move from Microsoft has been somewhat expected ever since it did something similar back in 2017 by closing down its Groove Music service. That decision left users with digital music files but no way to repurchase or re-download them once the Groove servers were turned off. That set a troubling example. Microsoft could follow the same path here, although it may hold off on doing so right away to avoid anger from users.
It had a good run, but eventually, everything comes to an end—whether it was great or just okay.

The problem of slow booting can be solved by the following methods: 1. Check and disable unnecessary booting programs; 2. Turn off the quick boot function; 3. First, open the "Device and Printer" interface to find the corresponding printer, right-click the task and select "Cancel" to clear a single task, or click "Cancel all documents" to clear the queue at one time; if the queue is inaccessible, press Win R to enter services.msc to open the service list, find "PrintSpooler" and stop it before starting the service. If necessary, you can manually delete the residual files under the C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS path to completely solve the problem.
