Microsoft has recently enhanced the snap layout suggestions by adding icons of currently open apps within the layout previews. This makes it easier to identify which application will be placed where when using snap layouts.
In addition, File Explorer now features visible labels for frequently used actions such as copy, paste, and delete. These clear indicators emphasize that labeling elements plays a crucial role in user experience.

Following the integration of sharing capabilities into the Start menu, users can now share files directly from Taskbar jump lists. Right-clicking any app icon on the Taskbar reveals a share option next to recent files. For example, as shown in the screenshot below, you can quickly share a recently opened file from the Notepad jump list.
Other enhancements include a new gamepad-enabled layout for the on-screen keyboard. Once activated, this layout allows users to navigate and input text efficiently using an Xbox controller.
The Narrator has also received improvements, enabling users to skip over links in a document and jump straight to lists or table of contents sections, improving navigation efficiency for screen reader users.
Microsoft is currently testing a more compact taskbar design for Windows 11, with broader rollouts expected to begin in early next year. Some of these new features are slated to arrive via the November 2024 optional update.
