Sometimes the Xbox Wireless Controller cannot be removed from a user's Windows 11/Windows 10 laptop. There are a number of issues, the most prominent of which is users encountering "removal failed" issues when trying to remove gadgets. If you get a "Removal failed" error when removing your Xbox Wireless Controller, restart your computer. The most straightforward solution to common problems is to restart your Windows device. If you continue to receive the same issue message when you remove the Xbox Wireless Controller after restarting your computer, try the fixes below.
Method 1: Uninstall the Xbox Wireless Controller from Device Manager
Removing the Xbox Wireless Controller becomes easier after you uninstall Bluetooth Device Manager.
Step 1: Press the Windows button X on your keyboard and select Device Manager on the menu.
Step 2: Select Bluetooth on the Device Manager menu.
Step 3: Now, right-click on the Xbox Wireless Controller and select Uninstall Device.

Method 2: Remove the Xbox Wireless Controller from Devices and Printers
