One of the best parts of WWE 2K25 is how much freedom you get during the match. You get to decide how you want the fight to go, and the ring can be a big part of your matches. One fun way to add a bit of variety to your match is to break the barricade while wrestling your opponent. It's a lot harder said than done, but can become one of your staple moves with time.

You can do this in any mode that has the requirements, so feel free to do this with a custom Superstar you downloaded in WWE 2K25, if that's your plan. However, take the time to try it a few times in a quick match before trying it out in multiplayer, because it takes practice to master.

Arenas That Have Breakable Barricades

There are a limited number of arenas where you can break the barricade in WWE 2K25. That is an unfortunate truth, but it's because each arena has to be unique. So, while some have breakable barricades, others have banners, electrical displays, and other features that make them look different. While this is great in a cosmetic sense, it means that you're restricted to breaking the barriers of the following arenas:

• Super Showdown 2020
• Smackdown 2020
• Royal Rumble 2022
• Raw 2011
• Raw 2002
• NXT
• No Marcy 2000
• New Year's Revolution 2007
• Mutinymania
• Money In The Bank 2017
• Mixed Match Challenge
• King & Queen of the Ring
• Japan Dome
• Hell in a Cell 2017
• Elimination Chamber 2024
• Clash In The Castle
• Bash In Berlin
• Backlash 2024
• Arena Estatal

There are a lot of arenas for you to do this in, so there's no need to worry about being limited. However, you're not going to have these arenas as soon as you start the game. You have to play through the Showcase and MyRise modes to unlock a few of these. That will take a lot of effort, but it's worth it to unlock more arenas in the game.

To unlock some easily, start MyRise, make a female wrestler, and then get to the point where you can pick a great personality in WWE 2K25. You're going to talk to Cathy Kelley eventually, and you should pick Bold and Brash. This will give you the Japan Hall and Arena Estatal arenas. The Arena Estatal will give you the opportunity to break the barricade.

How To Break The Barricade

Best Ways To Break Barricades With Other Wrestlers

Breaking the barricade is harder than you'd think in WWE 2K25. Once you pick an appropriate arena, you have to get your opponent set up the way you'd need. Make sure to have Ring Out switched off, or just select Extreme Rules match when setting up the match. That way, you don't need to worry about how long you're outside the ring.

I practiced this with a second controller to do this right, and I recommend practicing a few times before trying to do it in regular gameplay.

First, pick a wrestler who uses suplexes. It doesn't matter what kind of suplex, and it can even be one from an unlockable secret wrestler in WWE 2K25. However, make sure to pick a wrestler whose suplex gives you an idea of where your opponent will end up. For example, German suplex, exploder suplex, belly-to-back suplex, or belly-to-belly suplex. Others work, too, but I like using the German suplex, because then you know you're sending the other wrestler behind you.

Next, you're going to need to send your opponent outside the ring somehow. If you have a second controller and are practicing, just get down on your own. However, if you're having trouble, just grapple them and send them over the rope. Generally, the AI likes to leave the stage at least once every few minutes, in my experience, and they will follow you anyway if you leave and then taunt them.

You can grab your opponent and throw them over the rope by holding the grab button again after the initial grab.

Head over to the corner of the arena and then immediately grab the other wrestler. You're basically trying to angle your suplex correctly, which is what makes it so hard. If you go with the German suplex like I do, it's much easier. You only need to have your back to the barricade, and then you can perform your suplex. If you mess up, just try again.

I recommend doing it at least three times in a row before trying it out in multiplayer or regular modes. Most games give you three attempts to master any moves, because that's typically how many it takes to learn anything. Once you have it, feel free to use the technique to humiliate your enemies during matches in WWE 2K25.
