New developments are appearing in the At a Glance widget on Pixel devices, based on code uncovered in Android's latest preview build. This hints at a possible redesign that draws inspiration from certain features found in Samsung’s One UI.

The findings were made public by Android Authority, who managed to activate a prototype version of Gemini Space within Android Canary — the earliest test version of Android available.

While no official statement has been released regarding Gemini Space, early indications suggest it builds upon the existing At a Glance functionality, offering more detailed updates such as sports results, birthday alerts, weather forecasts, and calendar event summaries. Much of this information is already accessible via persistent notifications on Android devices.

Users may view these updates both on the lock screen and home screen, with an option to expand each card into a Daily Hub that provides timely updates throughout the day.
