How to Sort & Filter Apple Arcade Titles on Your iPhone to Find the Perfect Game to Play
Jul 31, 2025 am 02:17 AMWhen it comes to mobile gaming, Apple Arcade stands out as a top choice. With a library of more than 100 games—and growing—there’s plenty for every type of player. However, with so many options, discovering the right games can feel overwhelming. That’s where Apple Arcade’s sorting and filtering features come in, making it easier than ever to navigate the collection.
These tools were introduced in iOS 14.3, so you’ll need to make sure your iPhone is updated to at least that version to access them in the App Store’s Arcade section. Fortunately, all iPhone models that support Apple Arcade—which launched with iOS 13—also support iOS 14.3, meaning you won’t miss out.

To get started, launch the App Store, go to the "Arcade" tab, scroll all the way down, and select "See All Games." Tap "Release Date" at the top to open the Filters menu. You’ll find three main sections:
- Sort By: Choose how to organize the games—by Release Date, Last Updated, Name, or Category. Release Date and Last Updated show the newest titles first, while Name and Category follow alphabetical order.
- Filter By: Narrow your search with options like Controller Support, Multiplayer Games, and Age Ratings. For age, you can select "All," "4 ," "9 ," or "12 ."
- Include: Decide whether to show games that are Coming Soon—titles that haven’t been released yet.
Once you’ve made your selections, tap "Done." If you only changed the sort order, the new option—like Last Updated or Category—will appear at the top of the screen.
But if you applied any filters or excluded upcoming games, you’ll see "Filters (#)" displayed instead, with the number indicating how many filters are active.
