Before you can get all that tasty loot, however, you'll need to collect Irregular Tomestones, which are exclusive to the current Moogle event. How To Find A Chirurgeon

The Chirurgeon is a River Fish found in Central Shroud, so your best bet is right near the Bentbranch Meadows Aetheryte in Central Shroud, at the river around (X:22, Y:21). Luckily, this fish has no time or weather restrictions, so you can arrive at any time of day and try to catch one.

How To Catch A Chirurgeon

Before you start Casting, you'll need to obtain some Moth Pupa bait. You can purchase this bait from Admairanda, the Tool Supplier, located in Old Gridania (X:14.4, Y:10.0) for just a single gil each. Make sure to buy several in case the fish is tricky to locate.

Once you have your bait, travel to the Bentbranch Meadows and Cast your rod. Use your Moth Pupa to look for a Striped Goby, which appears as a single exclamation point reel.

Use Mooch on the Striped Goby to use it as bait for the Chirurgeon. This is the only known method to find this fish.

You can choose either Mooch 1 or Mooch 2, depending on the size of the Striped Goby. Either option works—keep using this fish as bait until you encounter a 3-exclamation-point reel. After successfully reeling in your Chirurgeon, remember to collect your ten Irregular Tomestones of Allegory from the Mogpendium.
