Not sure what the middle parts of the front side of your hands are called? Stuck on feed fillers? Don’t panic — I’m here to offer additional hints and the answers for today's NYT Mini crossword.
The NYT Mini is a compact version of the newspaper’s more extensive and longstanding crossword puzzle. Typically, most puzzles consist of five rows and five columns with between three and five clues in each direction, although the grids can be slightly larger on occasion, particularly on Saturdays.
Unlike the standard NYT crossword, the Mini is free to play via the New York Times website or the NYT Games app. However, you’ll need a subscription to access past puzzles from the archives.

I completed today's NYT Mini in 0:46.
I was frustrated with myself over this one! I was very close to a much faster time.
All the beach-related clues were straightforward, and I got TORE right away. But SOY took me a moment to recall. At first, I couldn't figure out POSTS (it finally clicked later — referring to content on social media feeds), and I wasn’t sure what letter should follow "post" given that clue, so I thought I must have messed up elsewhere.
I paused and looked around the grid. MALE and S.N.L. were clearly correct, and after getting ACHOO and LEERY, I realized my earlier doubt was unwarranted.
That wraps up my current streak with the NYT Mini. Talk to you all again in two weeks!
