ForbesToday’s ‘Wordle’ #1466 Hints, Clues And Answer For Tuesday, June 24thBy Erik KainIt’s Wordle Wednesday and I am tired. Occasionally, I suffer from episodes of insomnia. This is one of those instances. I’m not quite sure what causes it. Hopefully it won’t lead to a Fight Club situation. In any case, as with every other Wordle Wednesday, I’ve prepared an extra riddle for you to solve before we move on to the Wordle. Here it is:
What has a spine but no bones?
Once you figure it out, let me know! I’ll reveal the solution tomorrow. Now onto today’s Wordle!
The Clue: The final letter in this Wordle is a hybrid vowel/consonant.

Wordle Analysis
I always consult Wordle Bot to help evaluate my guesses. You can analyze your Wordles using Wordle Bot by visiting this link.
I started with DREAM, which narrowed it down to 82 possible solutions. Then HOIST cut that number down to just 6 and gave me one green tile. I didn’t realize only six words were left, naturally, but then I tried COMFY, and that was the correct answer! Success!
Competitive Wordle Score
Lucky day for me. I earned 1 point for solving it in three tries and another for beating the Bot. Meanwhile, the Bot lost 1 point for needing five attempts and another for losing to me. That brings our June scores to:
Erik: 17 points
Wordle Bot: 10 points
How To Play Competitive Wordle
- Guessing in 1 attempt earns 3 points; guessing in 2 gives 2 points; guessing in 3 earns 1 point; guessing in 4 is neutral (0 points); guessing in 5 costs 1 point; guessing in 6 costs 2 points; failing to solve it costs 3 points.
- If you beat your opponent, you gain 1 point. A tie gives 0 points. Losing costs you 1 point. Add these to your base score. You can track a daily total or play fresh each day.
- Fridays are double points (2XP), so all scores are doubled—good or bad.
- Keep a running score or treat each game independently. Either way, enjoy!
Today’s Wordle Etymology
“Comfy” is a relaxed, informal version of “comfortable.” It first appeared in British English during the late 19th century as a casual or childlike variation—created by shortening the word and adding the suffix -y (as seen in words like “bunny” or “tummy”).
