Much like Wordle, Connections refreshes at midnight, and each day’s puzzle becomes progressively more challenging—so we’ve gathered some hints and strategies to help you push through.
If you're looking for today’s solution, feel free to scroll to the bottom of this article for the revealed answer. But if you'd prefer to tackle the puzzle on your own, continue reading for helpful clues, hints, and techniques.
What is Connections?
The NYT's newest daily word game has gone viral across social media platforms. The Times acknowledges associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu for her role in designing and launching the game into the publication’s Games section. Connections is accessible via web browsers and mobile apps, and the goal is to sort 16 words into four groups of four that all share a common theme.

Each puzzle consists of 16 words divided into four distinct categories. These groupings can include themes such as book titles, software names, country names, and more. While several words may appear to belong together, only one combination is correct.
When a player correctly identifies all four words in a group, those words disappear from the board. An incorrect guess counts as a mistake—players are allowed up to four errors before the game ends.

You can also shuffle and reorganize the board to make it easier to spot patterns. Each category is assigned a color code: yellow (easiest), green, blue, and purple (hardest). Similar to Wordle, you can post your results on social media to challenge friends.
