How to Download iOS 17 RC & iPadOS 17 RC
Downloading the release candidate build of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 is straightforward via Software Update, assuming you're already using an earlier beta version.
- Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to “General”
- Tap on “Software Update”
- Select “Download and Install” for iOS 17 / iPadOS 17
Note that the term 'release candidate' does not appear in the name, which is standard for RC builds.
Installing iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 requires your iPhone or iPad to restart.
