There are several methods to restore your health (and the entire team's health) in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. You can either rest at an Expedition Flag (which resets all non-boss enemies in the area) or consume a Chroma Elixir if you are not in combat. Initially, you begin the game with just one Chroma Elixir, but you can boost its capacity by discovering a Tint known as Chroma Elixir Shard.
These upgrades are consistently located within Paint Cages, which are secured by three locks nearby. This guide will assist you in obtaining all four additional Chroma Elixirs in the game.
Chroma Elixir #1
Region | Nearest Expedition Flag |
---|---|
Flying Waters | N/A |
You will acquire this Chroma Elixir as part of the storyline. Shortly after entering the Flying Waters area, you will observe a large statue of a fish with an anchor attached to its tail. This is where you will be introduced to the Paint Cages mechanism. You will need to break three locks in the surrounding area to unlock the Paint Cage and claim the Chroma Elixir inside.
Chroma Elixir #2
Region | Nearest Expedition Flag |
---|---|
Ancient Sanctuary | Giant Bell Alley |
From the Giant Bell Alley, proceed along the path with a buried dome-like structure.
Chroma Elixir #3
Region | Nearest Expedition Flag |
---|---|
Stone Wave Cliffs Cave | Entrance |
Upon entering the cave, follow the sole path available. Swing across the first gap using the grappling hook, and continue navigating the area. After the second grappling point, cross the bridge, and proceed through the crawl space on the right. Utilize the Golden Rope to ascend, and you will locate the Paint Cage in plain view.
The first lock is on the blimp on the right, the second one is on the descending blimp directly behind the Golden Rope, and the final one is to the left of the Paint Cage. Fire at all three locks to obtain the third Chroma Elixir.
Chroma Elixir #4
Region | Nearest Expedition Flag |
---|---|
Forgotten Battlefield | Battlefield |
From the Expedition Flag, move past the Fading Woman. At the junction, shoot the first lock concealed behind crates on the left. The second lock is directly above the entrance, close to a fallen tree. For the final lock, head right from the junction and then immediately left – it will be in front of the Paint Cage.
Fire all three locks to secure the last Chroma Elixir in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Chroma Elixir Shard once more in New Game Plus for even more charges. How To Use And Restore Chroma Elixir?
A Chroma Elixir can only be utilized when you are not engaged in an active combat zone. This means you cannot use it during boss battles or challenging enemy encounters.
To view how many Chroma Elixir charges you currently possess or to use one, open the Expedition Menu, and examine the bottom-right corner of the screen. Press the designated key to use one. In New Game , you should have a total of five charges if you gather all the Chroma Elixir Shards.
Once you have completely exhausted your charges, rest at any Expedition Flag to replenish them. Keep in mind that performing this action will reset all enemies in the area.
