How to unlock Mobile Campsites in Monster Hunter Wilds

You gain the ability to set up Mobile Campsites during the 'Forest Discoveries' main quest in Chapter 1. Specifically, you unlock them by visiting a camp between the Quematrice and Lala Barina hunts.

Don’t worry; this occurs quite early in the storyline, so you won’t have long to wait before you can start placing camps!

How to set up Mobile Campsites in Monster Hunter Wilds

You must use a Camping Kit and spend Guild Points at designated locations within each region to establish Mobile Campsites in Monster Hunter Wilds. These sites are easily recognizable by clusters of glowing butterflies hovering nearby, as shown in the first image below.

However, note that even if you locate one of these Mobile Campsites, you might not be able to set one up if:

• A Mobile Campsite is already present, has been damaged, and is still under repair.
• You’ve reached the maximum number of Mobile Campsites.
• You’re currently engaged in battle with a large monster.

If your camp is destroyed, its functionality will remain unavailable until repairs are finished. Repairs occur gradually over time, but you can instantly fix one by spending Guild Points with the Mobile Campsite Specialist at another camp.

How to remove a Mobile Campsite in Monster Hunter Wilds

You can remove a Mobile Campsite by speaking with the Mobile Campsite Specialist at an existing camp. You can also remove damaged Mobile Campsites through the Specialist, though you won’t be able to reestablish a camp at the same spot for some time.
