Google Search Console removing the Page Experience report

May 19, 2025 am 09:30 AM

Google has decided to eliminate the Page Experience report from Google Search Console, as announced on LinkedIn today. The company's rationale for this decision is to "reduce unnecessary clutter" within the tool.

However, Google continues to emphasize the importance of a good page experience, urging users to monitor their site's performance through the Core Web Vitals (CWV) and HTTPS reports, which will remain available.

This move was anticipated since Google had previously indicated in April 2023 that the report would be removed. As of now, the report is no longer visible in Google Search Console profiles.

Why this matters. The removal of the Page Experience report from Search Console is not just about decluttering. Although the tool contains numerous features that users can choose to ignore, this action is intended to help site owners, creators, SEOs, and others concentrate on what is most crucial for Google Search and SEO, rather than on less significant aspects.

What Google said. Google's statement on LinkedIn reads:

“We’re removing the Page Experience report in Search Console. That page summarized data from the Core Web Vitals and the HTTPS reports, which will continue to be available as they are.

We decided to remove this page to reduce unnecessary clutter within Search Console and simplify navigating to this information. We still encourage you to focus on providing a good page experience to your readers and monitoring the status of your sites page experience in the CWV and HTTPS reports.

Farewell, Page Experience report ?”

Core Web Vitals & HTTPS report remain. Google confirmed in April that individual dashboards for Core Web Vitals and HTTPS reports will continue to be accessible in Search Console.

Changes to helpful content and page experience. Earlier this year, Google also announced that a good page experience is essential for producing what they consider to be helpful content.

Google first introduced the page experience report in April 2021 and made updates to it in November 2023.
