iOS 17.7 & iPad 17.7 Updates Released with Security Fixes

While most of the focus is on the latest release of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 software updates for iPhone and iPad users, Apple has also released security updates for users who are still using iOS 17 or iPadOS 17. If you are not ready to upgrade to iOS 18, or you are just postponing the installation for other reasons, you should install iOS/iPadOS 17.7 for relevant security patches.
How to update to iOS 17.7 and iPadOS 17.7
Be sure to back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud and/or your computer before starting a system software update.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to General, then go to Software Updates
- When you see iOS 17.7 or iPadOS 17.7 available, select Update Now
Restart is required to complete the installation.
