Conquer the Ice King in Split Fiction's challenging fantasy realm! This guide details the two-phase battle, offering strategies for victory. The seemingly harmless feline encounter quickly transforms into a formidable boss fight.
Phase One: A Clash on the Ice
The battle starts on a platform, which the Ice King destroys, leaving only a central section. Follow the paw-print prompts to survive his initial attacks. Transforming into Monkey and Tree forms is key.
On the larger Circular platform, dodge his ice pillars by dashing between them, and jump over his area-of-effect ice attacks. When he stands on his hind legs, revealing his mid-section crest, Zoe (in Tree form) must quickly grapple him to the ground. Mio (in Monkey form) then unleashes a combo. Failure to grapple quickly restarts the attack sequence.
The Ice King counters with molten ice spikes and a charge attack. Dash to avoid these, and watch out for returning ice pillars with icicle projectiles. Another grapple opportunity arises, repeating the previous strategy.
A cutscene triggers, leading to an ice slide; jump over obstacles to reach Phase Two.
Phase Two: Underwater Assault
This phase is more complex, requiring coordinated efforts. The Ice King submerges both players, unleashing an ice tornado. Wait for it to dissipate, revealing a glowing red flower in a small pool.
Mio (in Otter form) activates the flower and surfaces, while Zoe grapples and hurls it at the Ice King. Mio then attacks. Time this quickly; lingering underwater restarts the sequence.
The Ice King freezes the pool, unleashing explosive ice balls (detonate them on the ice to crack it) and another tornado. Dodge until the tornado clears, then repeat the flower attack for the final blow.
Victory! You've saved the kingdom!
