Pollip Hearts are unique collectibles that play a key role in completing a special quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong. These hearts can only be found within the Shellwood region, appearing as large purple plant-like bulbs that release the item when destroyed. Look for floating violet petals and clusters of smaller blooms on walls—these are clear indicators that a Pollip is nearby. This guide will lead you to all six Pollip Hearts required to finish the Rite of the Pollip quest and unlock a new utility item for Hornet.

Obtaining The Quest

Head to the designated location on your map, situated just below a bench and to the left. Enter the root-covered dwelling where you’ll meet Greyroot, who speaks of an impending new life and requests six Pollip Hearts to proceed with a sacred ritual. This begins the Rite of the Pollip questline.

Completing this task requires the silk-based ability Cling Grip and passing through the domain of the mini-boss known as Sister Splinter. To help navigate the twisting paths of Shellwood, make sure to obtain the Shellwood map from Shakra before beginning your search.

Pollip Heart #1

Just before reaching Greyroot’s home, you'll spot the first Pollip Heart at the marked point. Use your Cling Grip to scale the wall above, dodging any hazardous spikes along the way. Once up, destroy the bulbous Pollip growth to claim your first heart.

Pollip Heart #2

This heart lies within the tunnel linking the central bench zone to the far-left section of Shellwood. Watch for descending purple petals near the ceiling. Move from right to left and use the springy flowers by performing a down strike (pogo) to launch yourself upward. Clear out any minor enemies at the top first to prevent interruptions. The Pollip Heart is attached to the ceiling and must be struck from below—or you can throw a trap and detonate it nearby to break the bulb safely.

Pollip Heart #3

Located just west of Sister Splinter’s arena, this heart hides in a small recess on the right side. Reach it by combining Cling Grip, mid-air gliding, and bouncing off white flower vines. Be mindful of airborne purple insects patrolling the area; eliminate them before attempting to destroy the bulb to avoid taking avoidable damage.

Pollip Heart #4

After gaining access to Cling Grip, journey toward the upper-right sector and advance leftward. Stick to higher pathways, clinging to walls while avoiding ceiling spikes. You’ll find this Pollip bulb anchored to the upper-right corner of the ceiling. Destroy it to retrieve the heart. No enemies spawn here, so use this moment to heal if needed.

Pollip Heart #5

Begin at the lowest path to the left beneath the main bench area. Proceed through the upper route and leap onto the platform directly under the bulb to collect the heart. This one is relatively simple to reach, thanks to a visible trail of purple blossoms on the opposite wall guiding your ascent.

Pollip Heart #6

The sixth and final Pollip Heart is the most hidden of the set and requires precise navigation.

  • First, travel through Bellhart to reopen a passage back into Shellwood.
  • Head to Bellheart and locate a breakable wall in the lower-right section of the bell beasts' tunnels.
  • Break through and ascend using Cling Grip, clearing debris blocking your path, then descend past the Bell Hermit.
  • Keep moving downward until you spot a brightly lit tunnel branching to the right—this opens a previously inaccessible route into Shellwood.
  • Confirm your position matches the map shown, then climb across to a small cliff edge where faint purple blooms peek out.
  • Descend carefully, then shatter the concealed wall to reveal a hidden alcove containing the last Pollip Heart.

Pollip Heart Guide for Hollow Knight:Silksong After collecting all six hearts, return to Greyroot. She will perform a brief crafting sequence, after which you’ll receive the Pollip Pouch.

The Pollip Pouch description reads: A Pouch containing a fast-acting venom drawn from a flower's heart. Applies venom to equipped tools. Once equipped, your needle and thrown items will glow with a vivid purple tint, delivering poison damage over time and increasing overall damage output—even against boss enemies. With this upgrade in hand, you’ve completed the quest and added a potent new asset to your arsenal of crests.

As Hornet continues to explore Farom's intricate, maze-like tunnel in "The Hollow Knight: Song of Silk", the enemies she faces are not only far larger than herself, but also almost equal to her speed and agility. Most of the time, Hornet's only way to fight back against the enemy is by relying on the Needle that she trusts. The weapon wielded like a thin sword in a fencer's hand, ending battles after battle with its sharp tip. However, when facing the most powerful bosses in "Silk Song", participating in the battle with just a "needle" inevitably makes people feel like hitting a stone with an egg. To turn the situation slightly, Hornet can find various tools and buffs to upgrade her needle blade, thereby increasing its damage, attack range and attack

In the doomsday world occupied by the undead, "The Departed Light: The Wild Beast", resources are extremely scarce, and ammunition is even rare. If you prefer to use firearms rather than machetes, it is crucial to find a reliable source of ammunition – the key is to find the transport convoy left by the military. These military convoys are usually composed of one to three military trucks, with various types of ammunition, weapons and valuables randomly stored in the vehicles. The only challenge is: they are all closely guarded by a group of extremely dangerous infected people. Here are the location information of all teams in the game and what you need to prepare when you go to search.
