Magic: The Gathering - Spider-Man's Spider-Man 2099 Commander Deck Guide
Sep 29, 2025 am 10:30 AMMiguel O’Hara, a genius geneticist from the year 2099, gained spider-like abilities after a lab accident while attempting to escape a drug dependency imposed by his corporate overlord. Thanks to some wild time-travel twists, he’s now swinging into the early 21st century as part of Magic: The Gathering’s Spider-Man set.
Though Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse casts him in a slightly antagonistic light, in truth, Spider-Man 2099 is a sharp-witted scientist and an unwilling hero pulled from across dimensions. Let’s dive into how you can harness his full potential on the battlefield.

The Commander
Spider-Man 2099 is a legendary 2/3 Spider Human Hero with double strike and vigilance, requiring just one red and one blue mana to cast. However, his From the Future ability stops you from deploying him before your third turn.
While this restriction delays his entry, a 2/3 body with double strike is still a solid threat—especially in the Izzet colors, where temporary power boosts can quickly turn him into a lethal attacker.
His real strength lies in his second ability: whenever you play a land or cast a spell from anywhere other than your hand, he deals damage equal to his power to any target at the beginning of your end step.
In theory, you could ping opponents just by playing lands, but missed land drops are common. That’s why casting from alternate zones is crucial. For instance, using Reckless Charge with flashback can let Spider-Man 2099 deal massive combat damage and then trigger his ability for five more.
Building The Deck
To maximize Spider-Man 2099’s potential, you need ways to cast spells from outside your hand. His end-of-turn damage scales with any spell cast from exile, graveyard, or top of library. The deck leans heavily on foretell and flashback to make this happen.
Foretell lets you pay two mana to exile a card face-down, then cast it later at a reduced cost. This spreads out mana usage and, critically, lets you cast from exile, triggering Spider-Man 2099’s ability.
Flashback, while often pricier, lets you recast a spell from your graveyard. This works whether you cast it normally first or get it there via discard or milling.
Additionally, the deck includes several “bottle” effects—cards that exile from the top of your library and let you cast them that turn, sometimes for free. These carry risks: you might exile a land after your land drop or a high-cost spell you can’t afford.
But don’t overlook boosting Spider-Man 2099’s power. With double strike, every 1 power gives two extra combat damage, and it also increases his end-step damage. Effects like 1/ 1 counters, Reckless Charge, or Bulk Up turn him into a powerhouse.
Pro tip: use Bulk Up after applying all other buffs to maximize the doubling effect.
Ramp
Red and blue aren’t known for strong ramp, especially in multicolor builds. So this deck relies on mana rocks like Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Talisman of Creativity. With six cheap mana artifacts, you’ll likely see one early.
Beyond that, options are limited—but not absent

As Hornet continues to explore Farom's intricate, maze-like tunnel in "The Hollow Knight: Song of Silk", the enemies she faces are not only far larger than herself, but also almost equal to her speed and agility. Most of the time, Hornet's only way to fight back against the enemy is by relying on the Needle that she trusts. The weapon wielded like a thin sword in a fencer's hand, ending battles after battle with its sharp tip. However, when facing the most powerful bosses in "Silk Song", participating in the battle with just a "needle" inevitably makes people feel like hitting a stone with an egg. To turn the situation slightly, Hornet can find various tools and buffs to upgrade her needle blade, thereby increasing its damage, attack range and attack

In the doomsday world occupied by the undead, "The Departed Light: The Wild Beast", resources are extremely scarce, and ammunition is even rare. If you prefer to use firearms rather than machetes, it is crucial to find a reliable source of ammunition – the key is to find the transport convoy left by the military. These military convoys are usually composed of one to three military trucks, with various types of ammunition, weapons and valuables randomly stored in the vehicles. The only challenge is: they are all closely guarded by a group of extremely dangerous infected people. Here are the location information of all teams in the game and what you need to prepare when you go to search. How to discover and unlock military convoys There are nine military convoys distributed on the map, mainly appearing on main roads, especially near bridges, tunnels and elevated sections. Four of them are
