Exploring Fantasian Neo Dimension offers more than just the main storyline. Soon after Kina and Cheryl become part of your party in En’s Old District, you’ll stumble upon a side quest. Head to the northwest area of the Old District and speak with a man searching for his missing cat. This begins the Beloved Cat side quest, which is simple and can be wrapped up in no time.

Locating the Piranhara Bones

To lure a cat, you’ll need the right bait.

Once you’ve accepted the quest, exit the Old District and return via the Mountain Path Connecting to En. In this area, enter the nearby ruined structure and search through a pile of crates to find the Piranhara Bones. These bones are key to convincing the runaway cat to follow you. After obtaining them, proceed south into the New District, where the feline has gone into hiding.

Tracking Down the Beloved Cat

Not every cat in En is the one you're after—this one is special.

While the New District is full of lounging cats, none of them are the one you need. Keep an eye out for a brown tabby, referred to in-game as a Tiger-Striped Cat. To reach it, make your way toward the consumable shop and the local bar. Between the two buildings, there's a narrow gap—just wide enough for Leo to slip through.

As you approach, an action prompt will appear. Squeeze through into a hidden alley, where you’ll discover a concealed building serving as the cat’s hideout. Inside, head to the back room and use the Piranhara Bones on the cat. With the treat in hand, the cat will immediately agree to return home. The building also holds two standard chests containing 5 Energy Drinks and 1,000 Gold.

With the cat now following you, return to the Old District—either by foot or by using the warp function if unlocked. Speak once more with the owner, who has a change of heart upon seeing his pet. Instead of selling the rare cat, he decides to keep his beloved companion.
