The casting news comes from Jeff Sneider, who revealed that Spaeny is set to reunite with director Alex Garland following her role in his 2024 film Civil War.

Spaeny previously took on the lead role of Rain Carradine in last year’s Alien: Romulus. Her portrayal was so well-received that both her voice and likeness were later incorporated into Dead by Daylight as a cosmetic skin for Ellen Ripley. Before that, she earned acclaim for her performance as Priscilla Presley in Sofia Coppola’s 2023 biographical drama Priscilla.
