Street Fighter 6's latest outfit DLC adds the game's biggest batch of horny yet, which might distract people from the fact that this is only the second wave of costumes in 2 years
Jul 29, 2025 am 02:07 AMCapcom has officially unveiled the second wave of post-launch costumes for Street Fighter 6, and let’s just say, they’re catering to a very particular fanbase—Luke’s voice actor included, judging by his reaction.
While Street Fighter 6 remains one of the most acclaimed fighting games in recent memory—especially as Tekken stumbles through its current era—one of its most consistent criticisms has been the lackluster costume selection. At launch, characters came with just two outfits: the default look and a single alternate, usually a throwback from a prior game. It took Capcom nearly six months to roll out Outfit 3, and after that… crickets.
Outfit 3 arrived in December 2023, and fans have been left waiting ever since. But during last night’s Capcom Spotlight, the wait finally ended: Outfit 4 is on the way. And in classic Capcom fashion, they’re leading with the swimsuit DLC—perhaps to divert attention from the fact that Street Fighter 5 already had a much deeper wardrobe roster by this point in its lifecycle.
The first batch of Outfit 4 costumes drops on August 5, coinciding with Sagat’s release, and includes full-on bikini sets for Kimberly, Chun Li, Cammy, Manon, A.K.I, Jamie, and Luke. The designs are bold, flashy, and definitely not subtle about showing skin—something Capcom is clearly leaning into, judging by the cheeky tone of the reveal and the enthusiastic (and sometimes NSFW) reactions flooding their social media. Case in point: Aleks Le, Luke’s English voice actor, responded to the news with a now-viral, tongue-in-cheek, "im glornba caurm."

Beyond the obvious fan service, there’s some real nostalgia baked into these designs. Chun Li and Cammy’s new looks are inspired by classic artwork from Kinu Nishimura created for Super Street Fighter II in 1993—iconic visuals that have long been fan favorites. Meanwhile, Manon’s swimsuit is a direct homage to the cover of the 2023 Street Fighter Swimsuit Special comic by Udon, with the original artist even sharing their excitement on the r/StreetFighter subreddit after spotting their work in the game.

It remains to be seen whether the rest of the roster will follow suit with beach-themed attire in their Outfit 4 drops, or if future waves will explore different themes. I mean, Zangief’s already rocking the shortest shorts in gaming history from his original SF2 days—how much more revealing could it get? Then again, knowing how well these types of costumes sell, and how many new Cammy mains will probably struggle through ranked with them equipped, Capcom might just go all-in and give everyone a bikini. Honestly, at this point, I wouldn’t be surprised.
Oh, and by the way—Capcom also showed off some Resident Evil Requiem gameplay during the Spotlight. So if you’re into slow walks down creepy hallways, today’s your lucky day.
