ExtraHop has announced a significant expansion into Singapore, aiming to address the rising demand for its network detection and response (NDR) platform throughout the APAC region.
By extending its global presence, the company aims to better support enterprises in fulfilling strict compliance requirements such as those outlined in the Singapore Cybersecurity Act.
This new location will serve as a critical local point of presence (PoP) for customer data, while simultaneously strengthening ExtraHop’s ability to detect and respond to threats, the firm noted.
In a statement, Ken Chen, ExtraHop’s vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan, emphasized that this expansion reinforces the company’s strong position within the regional enterprise market.
“Our ongoing growth across APAC is a strategic initiative designed to give our customers a unique edge in managing evolving compliance challenges and ensuring the fastest possible threat detection and mitigation available locally,” he stated.
The ExtraHop platform integrates NDR with network performance management (NPM) and intrusion detection system (IDS) capabilities, offering enterprises comprehensive visibility and rich contextual insights into their hybrid environments.
According to the vendor, this integrated approach leads to faster threat response times, improved productivity, and reduced operational complexity.
The Singapore expansion comes after a successful year for ExtraHop in the Asia Pacific market, where annual revenue grew by 62% compared to the previous year. This growth was fueled by an influx of enterprise clients in highly regulated sectors like finance, government, and essential infrastructure.
This move also highlights the company’s dedication to fostering partnerships in the region. Foo Siang Tse, senior partner for Cyber at multinational IT firm NCS, stressed the importance of cybersecurity and digital resilience as core components of modern business strategy.
“ExtraHop’s solutions have provided our clients with the network visibility and deep analytical tools necessary to quickly identify and counter threats,” he said.
“Their continued investment in Singapore reflects our mutual commitment to expanding across the region. We’re excited about further strengthening our collaboration to help even more organizations protect their operations.”
