How to Play Space Invaders & Other Classic Atari Games on Your Samsung Galaxy S3

Atari was one of the earliest video game consoles ever made, bringing the excitement of arcade games straight into people's homes. While gaming consoles are now everywhere, there's still something special about those classic retro systems that makes me wish I could go back in time.
Luckily, I don't actually have to do that, since it's pretty easy to find an original Atari console along with classic titles like Asteroids and Space Invaders, and it's even easier to just download and play them directly on your Samsung Galaxy S3 or any other Android device.
Unfortunately, there aren’t any solid Atari emulators available on Google Play, so we’ll be using Roms4Droid's Droid2600 for playing our favorite Atari 2600 games.
Enable Unknown Sources
Since it’s not listed on Google Play, you'll need to make sure that Unknown Sources is enabled on your phone. This will allow you to install the file we're about to download. If it isn’t already activated, navigate to Settings -> Security, then tick the box next to Unknown Sources.
Download Emulator
Next, download the Droid2600 APK from this link, or visit Roms4Droid's website and select the Droid2600 emulator. The download should begin right away.
Install Droid2600
Once the APK has finished downloading, tap on it through the Notification tray and install it using either Verify and install or Package installer.
After installation, a shortcut for Droid2600 will appear on your Home screen and inside the App Drawer.
Download ROMs
No emulator works without a game ROM. Start by searching online for the Atari ROM(s) you want. To stay within legal boundaries, only download ROMs for games you own physically. Look for .zip files as they are compatible with Droid2600.
Load & Play
Once you've downloaded a ROM onto your device, launch Droid2600 and load the game.
Now enjoy your gameplay. You can switch between different types of controls (joystick, paddle, keypad, or tilt), and open the control panel to save or load games.
