Connections is one of the New York Times' most beloved word games that has gained widespread popularity. The game revolves around identifying "common threads between words." Much like Wordle, Connections refreshes every day at midnight, and each new puzzle tends to be more challenging than the last—so we've gathered some hints and tips to help you out.
If you're looking for today's answer directly, feel free to scroll to the end of this article for the full Connections solution. But if you'd prefer to solve it on your own, read on for helpful clues, hints, and strategies.
What is Connections?
The NYT's newest daily word game has taken social media by storm. According to the Times, associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu played a key role in developing the game and introducing it to the publication’s Games section. Connections can be accessed via web browsers or mobile devices and challenges players to group four words that share a common link.

Each puzzle contains 16 words, which are divided into four distinct categories. These groups can range from book titles, software names, country names, and more. While several combinations may seem plausible, only one grouping is correct.
When a player correctly selects all four words in a set, those words disappear from the board. A wrong guess counts as a mistake—players have up to four chances before the game ends.

You can also shuffle and rearrange the board to make it easier to spot connections. Each category is color-coded: yellow for the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Similar to Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social platforms.
