It’s Odin’s Day, right in the middle of the week, and we have words to uncover. Another Strands puzzle to challenge and entertain us. These puzzles are always toughest at the start when all you see is a jumble of letters. Sometimes, even with a clear theme, finding that first word can be tough. Other times, the words jump out at you. Today was definitely the former. I had trouble getting started but once things clicked, they came together smoothly.

Strands is the latest addition to the New York Times’ collection of puzzle games. It adds a fresh twist to the traditional word search format. Each day offers a new theme, and your goal is to locate all related words hidden in the grid, including one that stretches across the entire board — the spangram.

Below you’ll find today’s theme and some helpful hints to guide you through the puzzle. Instead of giving two-letter clues for each word, I’m offering three hints this time.

Today’s Strands Breakdown

As I mentioned earlier, this one took me a bit to get going. Once I found DECO and REVIVAL, the rest began falling into place. Finding BRUTALIST made spotting the spangram — ARCHITECTURE — much easier. The trickiest one for me was definitely BAROQUE, which I struggled with for quite a while. If it isn’t BAROQUE, don’t fix it!
