One of the most effective methods to enhance your character build in Dune: Awakening involves unlocking new skill trees. When you begin the game and go through character creation, you'll have the chance to pick a type of training inspired by the abilities of the Bene Gesserit, troopers, mentats, or swordmasters. Although this initial training allows you to access a specific skill tree, it isn't the sole one available to you.

Early in the game, you'll encounter NPC trainers who can grant you access to additional skill trees. One such trainer can be found fairly early on, providing access to the Trooper Proving Grounds. Below is a guide on how to complete this quest.

Where To Find The Trooper Trainer

To initiate the Trooper Proving Grounds quest, you must first locate the trading outpost called Griffin's Reach Tradepost.

This tradepost can be found in the starting area of Arrakis, far to the west.

How To Complete The Trooper Proving Grounds

Once you've triggered this quest via Ghavouri, you'll receive a list of enemies to eliminate at different locations. These enemies become available one by one and will appear on your map.

1. Eliminate Aatu Golven in Kaleff's Stand
2. Eliminate Kirsi Tol In Shamal Tunnel
3. Eliminate Cardanus Ulun In Edgeway Cavern

Eliminate Aatu Golven In Kaleff's Stand

First, you'll tackle Aatu Golven in Kaleff's Stand, which is located to the east of the Wreck of the Alcyon in Hagga Basin South.

Proceed to the marked spot on your map, and search for the rock formation known as Kaleff's Stand, which features a tunnel entrance covered with netting.

Slice through this netting to discover Aatu waiting inside. Then, defeat him using one of your weapons to finish the first part of this contract.

Eliminate Kirsi Tol In Shamal Tunnel

Next, head even further east of Kaleff's Stand toward Shamal Tunnel to eliminate Kirsi Tol. As previously, approach the tunnel entrance, which is covered in netting.

Eliminate Cardanus Ulun In Edgeway Cavern

Lastly, travel southeast to Edgeway Cavern.

This location is again indicated on your map. Like before, the entrance to this cavern is covered in fibrous netting.

Report Back To Ghavouri

After you've defeated all three of his targets, you'll be asked to return to Griffin's Reach Tradepost.

Simply talk to Ghavouri, inform him that you've finished his contract, and he'll teach you the ways of becoming a Trooper.

From there, you'll gain access to the Trooper Skill Tree, which you can invest skill points into whenever you wish.
