Still looking for tips, clues and answers for Wordle on Thursday? The answer is here!
Today is the last of 1300 Wordles. Tomorrow is Wordle #1400. A whole new era. Today is also 2XP Friday, so those who are competing Wordle games with friends or family, or me or Wordle Bot should double your points, for better or worse. I've been getting beaten by Bot this month, which is fair after I beat it last month. Let's get started!
How to answer today's Wordle
Tip: A sad tune.
Clue: This Wordle ends with a vowel.

Wordle Analysis
I check Wordle Bot every day to help analyze my guessing game. You can view your Wordles with Wordle Bot here.
I use DRAIN every now and then as my opening remarks, and today I am lucky. Very lucky! There are only four words left, and I already have three boxes, although two of them are yellow. DIRTY is the second luckiest guess I might choose, it reduces my choice to just one: DIRGE, win! Long live!
Competitive Wordle Score
I guess it's right to score one point three times, beat Bot and score another point. On Friday 2XP, it's 2 x 2, with a total of 4 points. Bot scored 0 points when he guessed correctly, and lost to me and scored -1 point. Doubled it is -2 points. This narrows our April total to:
Erik: 9 points
Wordle Bot: 10 points
As you can see, Bot is still ahead, but just barely ahead. There are nearly two weeks left. Both of these situations are possible! I do like a close match…
How to Play Competitive Wordle
- 3 points if you guess correctly; 2 points if you guess correctly; 1 point if you guess correctly; 0 points if you guess correctly; 5 guess correctly; 2 points if you guess correctly; 2 points if you guess correctly; 3 points if you guess wrong.
- If you beat your opponent, you get 1 point. If you tie, you will get 0 points. If you lose to your opponent, you get -1 point. Add them up to get your score. Keep running scores daily, or just play one new score every day. Enjoy it!
- Friday is 2XP, which means you have to double your scores – whether positive or negative.
- You can keep a run total, or just play for one day. Enjoy it!
Wordle etymology today
The word dirge comes from the Latin dirige , meaning "guidance" or "guidance". It originates from the Latin antonym Dirige, Domine, Deus meus, in conspectu tuo viam meam (“Guide, Oh Lord, my God, my way in my sight”), used in the office of the Dead in the Middle Ages Christian worship. Over time, dirge gradually became the meaning of funeral songs or elegies.
